A very nice book. If your toddler is especially an animal lover, this probably would be a great investment. It breaks down the animals by where they live mostly (polar, African, farm), but also has pets, baby farm animals, and (of course the page that makes me squirm) bugs. (I was quite happy that there was no millipede). Some of the animal pictures are extra big. All photographs, so they are very beautiful. And because its a word learning book, everything is labeled.
Bright and visually stimulating photographs of animals on a colorful backdrop, arranged by type of animal (farm animals, ocean animals, insects, etc.). Lends itself to lots of fun animal sounds and so exciting to look at!
This is a beautiful book of animals, arranged according to where they live. It goes beyond just lion, dog, and bear -- it introduces the artic fox, octopus, wasp, etc. This is great for an animal-loving toddler.
Big time favorite, especially since I make animal noises or know songs which involve the animals which DS requests when he points to them. The photos are great and so many animals are in here that I use it a lot for recognition when we see them in other books that use illustrations.
