This book was a good read, but there were some clichés here and there. When reading the summary, I completely already know where this is going. We have our main character going to a new school, and meet a new group of friends. One of them is a typical mean girl and is not making things easy on the main character. Then......ok you know how it ends.....the main character kicks the mean girl's butt and wins. So, that's how cliché the whole plot was. Also, the mean girl is definitely on of your ster ...more

Just by looking at the cover of this book, you might expect a total fluff book about girls and fashion, which it was to some extent. Yes, it is a typical middle school girl book, complete with a new preppy school, mean girls, first boyfriends, etc., etc. But the author did something with this book that not only caught my interest, but elevated it in my eyes above the total fluff concept. In this case, the protagonist doesn't jump immediately to condemning the head mean girl. She gives her and he ...more

This was a very good book. I loved how the main character, Amy Flowers, deals with the struggles of going to a new school. I love how she reacts when the popular people are being mean to her and she doesn't like it. I enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it.

I have the whole series of candy apple books and the only one I have finished is super sweet 13 I enjoyed that book. I have tried to get in to the rest of the books but they just don't pull me in for some reason I always scatter like the other 30 books out on my rig trying to decide which one i wanna read but even when I do find and read the back I always put it down and read something eles

The book was really interesting and taught many lessons and secrets of starting a new school and they can come in handy if i ever start a new school, especially starting an exclusive prep school like Allington(the school in the book). According to the characters in the book, i think the main lesson to be learnt from Amy and The League is that Amy should not try to change herself just to fit in with Fiona and her clique , The League because those are not her true friends are and Fiona was not one ...more

fiona's cage trap at the birthday bash was so devastatingly hilarious!!
i seriousely think all the school snooties and mean little queen bees deserve that kind of treatment.
it's a perfect lookover for highschool life.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! Here's what I can tell you before you go rushing off to the bookstore or library, there's a new girl named Amy and she went to a party and met this girl named Jenelle. Well, turns out Jenelle goes to the same school. And soon, Jenelle has to choose between Amy or evil Lucia and Fiona. find out who she chooses to be her BFF(s). And even if sh chooses the evil ones, that doesn't mean that Amy didn't meet a skater chick and a girl whose mom owns a local thrift store to be her f ...more

This book is about a girl named Amy Flowers who is going to school at the richest, best school ever! Some makes some friends, but more emenies. She isn't used to the fancy and rich life, so kids tease her. But, she also gets in trouble, sets new fashion trends(kinda),and tries to fit in at Allington Academy! This book is from the Candy Apple series, which is a great set of different books!

So far this book is very interesting! It is about this girl that is starting at a private school called Allington Academy. The school is kinda' for the rich kids. Of course Amy has her own way of going to school. Then there is THE LEAGUE they are like the miss popular and no fat group. Will they mess with Amy or will Amy become one of them???

Amy Flowers is new to Allington Academy. She is starting at seventh grade. Amy's new friend is Jenelle Renwick. Jenelle is friends with a mean girl named Fiona and a girl named Lucia. They're popular. They're in a group called "The League". They don't call themselves that. Everyonelse calls them the league.

Amy Flowers moves into the hottest middle school in Texas and meets her new friends, the populars. Can she get her way into the group? Can it risk giving up everything? Read it and find out :p

Wasn't the best book out of the series, precisely why I rated it 4 stars.
Eh, it was okay.
I was more eager to read the other books in the series, rather than this one.
