I know this will no doubt be considered a blasphemy by some, but I need to say it: I hate reading right-to-left. Maybe it's one of those signs that I'm just too old, and it's no doubt a sign of cultural insensitivity, but give me left-to-right text any day.

The problem with that, though, is that the local library had Eva volumes 1-7 in left-to-right format, but the last three parts of the story are only in the original Japanese format (but with the text, at least, still translated). As a result,
I've been away too long from this series. Unlike the anime, this manga version seems to give a more sympathetic view of Asuka, which for me makes it exponentially more enjoyable.
