I didn't quite like this one as much as "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off"...it's still a fun read, but I liked the other one better.
The basis of the story is the relationship between Heath and Chance. They'd known each other for a while before getting involved. The night of their wedding, Chance took off and stayed gone for a year. Her defection broke Heath's heart. Now Chance is back and she wants to repair relationship with Heath. But t More...

What can I say, another winner by Cara North (I really like her writing style)! This is the second book in her Country Music Collection, which by the way, the stories have nothing to do with country music except for the titles of the books. This is the second book about one of the Johnson brothers, who own a sprawling horse ranch in Montana. Heath is the brother in question this time, who was a somewhat moody, nasty guy in the previous book, "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off". Th

This is the second novel in the “Country Music” series. This one is about big brother, Heath, whose bride, Chance, ran away to cooking school the night of their wedding. A year later he decides to divorce her. That day he receives a call to come down to the jail and pick her up. Uh-oh. Chance is back in town. *grin*
Chance has lots of secrets, and it was fun to see Uber-Alpha Heath loosen up a little with her when she decides to give their marriage another shot. I actually enjo More...

It picks up where Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off left off. The only thing that bothered me was that Heath seemed to forgive Chance too quickly. She was gone a year with no contact and sure she had an adequate reason for leaving, but he just seemed more angry in the first book. Maybe it was the grandfather's letter that changed him? Otherwise very enjoyable. I look forward to Rafe and Layla's story.

4.25 out of 5. Pain in relationships is a common thread throughout most romance fiction, but how can two people heal a rift in their relationship that occurs before the marriage has opportunity to begin? So it is with Heath and Chance, star-crossed lovers with an on-again-off-again history, and who must now face the consequences of their choices. Learning to listen, learning to accept one's own defects, and learning that deeper truths are never really obvious, can be important lessons in putt

This is closer to 3.5 than 3, but GR doesn't have half stars. I liked this one, I really did. But I thought when Heath found out about Chance's childhood and asked who the guy was and he was named, I thought that might be significant later, but it wasn't. And I still don't understand why there was a whole year with absolutely no contact. It was definitely sweet that Heath and Chance still had so much chemistry, but he seemed to forgive her awfully quickly. I'm also not sure why they let Chance d

I absolutely love this story. I love that there were no games being played in this book. Both characters stated from the onset they screwed up and wanted to right their wrong (well almost from the beginning). Did they have issues to work through? Yes! Did they make mistakes here and there? Yes!
This book was all about love and forgiveness. Not just between husband and wife, but between family, as well. Everyone should takea few notes from this book and apply it when need be. More...

I really liked this book. The characters in this series so far are so easy to relate to. Great book.
