I love this gender-bender, funny, romantic, a little paranormal manga.

Ito Miura is a tomboyish girl whose looks and attitude makes her easily mistaken for a boy. As a member of the drama club she always play male roles. Soon she meets the new transfer student Makoto who is a beautiful girl, who is really a guy in disguise. Makoto has made a deal with his father, to be able to follow his dream of becoming an actor, he must attend high school as a girl and nobody must know. So when Ito finds out
the mermaid story was awesome. instead of it being the usual extra story, the bizarre super-natural story was actually part of the normal storyline. for once i would like to see ito say 'you know, i think i'll pass on possibly getting into trouble/danger/cursed.' just once, reject the situation and see if it still bites her in the butt. because that's what happens to me, and i'm sure most people. plus, why hasn't anyone even suspected that maybe ito and makoto are a couple?
After several volumes of rehashing the same story in different settings, volume 8 of W Juliet chooses to put a little focus on side characters, avoiding the repetition that hurt volumes 4-7.
I liked the family stories, but the fluff ghost mermaid story put me to sleep. W Juliet seems to be such a mixed bag in these middle volumes. :( Does it get better?
I think this is my favourite volume! The Kôhei-moving-away and the Lady Mermaid stories were so sweet! And Akane + Yûto? FINALLY <3
Finally, some other characters get a bit more of a story! Great volume! :)
Ça traine en longueur.
