a friendrecommends it for: everyone who enjoys something different, experimental - a good journey - exploring self

Friendrecommends it for: Anyone concerned with a world that takes promising technology and turns it into weaponry.
I struggled a bit in the first chapter due mainly to the 'stream of consciousness' type of writing in the beginning but Across the Phantom Divide became one of those books that pops into your mind later. You're thinking about it without realizing so. After that kicked in I went back to it with gusto.
I like the international settings and it was obvious that the author had actually been to those places and had done her research. Good ending, too.
