I was given an ARC of 'Tempted by the Bear- part 8' from V. Vaughn, in exchange for an honest review.
After what transpired in Tempted part 7, I was wondering when the rest of the secrets would finally come out. I mean there was this HUGE, MASSIVE secret that Tristan was keeping from Annie from the very start, a game changer, even though they are fully mated. Well that BOMB came out big time, so not going to ruin it for you. Also a ghost returns from the dead.... otherwise known as Isabelle, who discovers something very dangerous for all bear shifters. A mate is chosen, an Alpha is becoming more intune with her place & then we have that ending.... I can't wait to read what V. Vaughn has next install for this serial, I can't even imagine the twists coming up.

Tempted by the Bear - Part 8: BBW Shifter Werebear Romance V. Vaughn

Tristan finally tells Annie the truth, Isabelle returns from the dead and the triplets are kidnapped. The suspense is killing me.
The eighth instalment of V. Vaughn's 'Tempted by the Bear' is more or less the same length as the previous two parts at about 58 pages, can easily be read in a few hours and I was given a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review. Well written in the first person, with the point of view alternating between each of the main female characters and although I don't usually read serials (or watch them either), first person narrative or cliff-hangers, I do love V. Vaughn's stand alone paranormal romances so I'm giving it a go and getting more and more into the story with each new part, but because they've been released quite close together it's a bit like reading a few chapters of an epic then putting it down for a bit, just not in a place I'd choose to have a break. This is a serial, not a series, each part builds on the previous ones, has a cliff-hanger ending and they definitely need to be read in order.
This part of the story is set over the course of several months and sees Tristan finally telling Annie the truth. Now she has to decide if she wants to spend her life with someone who intended to kill not just her, but her whole family. She also needs to decide whether or not to tell Brady and live with the consequences.
Tori and Keith have a serious discussion about where they'll live now that she's the new Veilleux alpha. Lily tells Tori that she thinks Patricia is up to something and to watch her back.
Lucy finally sees what kind of selfish person Serge really is and decides that's the sign she's been waiting for in order to choose the true mate she will spend her life with, and it's not him, making Sven a very happy bear.
Isabelle is happy with her true mate Jean Luc Ouelette and spends some of her days learning to use and control her new found magic, but human hunters are out to kill them and now they also know about the La Roux clan too, so Izzy has to tell Tristan she's alive. After the shock of her arrival alive and well wears off, Annie contacts Brady with the news of the human hunters and an emergency meeting of the council is called. Lucy and Sven take the triplets to Lucy's apartment to ensure their safety, only for Annie and Tristan to be told later that they've been kidnapped.
With only one part left to go in this serial, truths are starting to come out, but there are still new questions popping up, like who managed to kidnap the girls from a secure apartment in a building guarded by La Roux shifters, in a gated community that's owned and policed by the same clan? I have serious doubts about it being the human hunters. There are so many things going on in this serial, and because I haven't got all the pieces it's a lot like an incomplete jigsaw puzzle, and the bits that are missing are the ones that hold it all together and give you the complete picture. I'm reading between the lines a lot and putting all sorts of different twos together, like the 'something' Patricia is up to and the kidnapping of the children. But maths was never my strong subject and I have absolutely no idea if any of the sets of two I'm putting together actually add up to four.....yet. I really can't wait to read the final instalment and am desperately hoping that there will be lots of answers, and a conclusion with happily ever afters for the good guys and appropriate punishment for all the bad guys, especially the evil Patricia Veilleux and her medicine man sidekick. The suspense is killing me and I really can't wait to read the next part. I hope it won't be long coming.

I received this for an honest review. I am one that loves reading in all different formats. I love my ebook, paperback and also love audio. You get such a different experience when reading a book yourself and listening to an audio,. The thing I love about audios is if it is a good narrator you get to hear the emotion that the characters would have. It is something I think anyone that has a love for reading should experience. There is a lot of work that goes in to choosing a narrator and V. Vaughn has done a wonderful job. Romona Master does an amazing job. You can hear ever passion, the emotion, the joy, the anger, and ever fear that the character might have. You really get pulled into the story. FYI, this is not a standalone so please read the books in order.
Where to begin on this book There is so much that goes on in this book. Tristan decides to tell Annie his secret, the real reason why him and Isabelle came to Maine. This had to be like a dagger to Annie’s heart. Here she is at the place where she has not only fallen in love with her true mate but his 3 beautiful kids, her dreams have come true. To find out the evil that her mate is capable and what he had plan doing had to be to much. Can Annie find it in her heart to forgive Tristian?
Isabelle is finally happy and at peace. She is now with her true mate. You have to wonder how Luke will take the news not only that Isabelle is alive but mated to another. Jean Luc is everything Isabelle could of dreamed of. Jean Luc has not only saved her from death but her fate of being bi-polar as well. Isabelle will find what the danger is and knows she must go back to Maine to protect her brother and the other werebears in Maine. Will she get there in time?
Patricia is up to her old tricks. I am so ready for her to die. She is just pure evil. When reading the story I often wonder what it would of been like if Victor would of lived. I would like to think he was changing and would of done what is right.
Lucy is in a rock in a hard place. Come on how many of you are reading this series would want to be in her place. Two handsome men competing for her heart. Sven and Serge are taking turns going out with her. The most they are allowed to do is kiss until it is clear to Lucy which would be the best true mate for her. She finds out in this book, but sorry need to read the book to find out which one.
Keith and Tori have some decision to make. I can not imagine what Keith is going thru. Her his true mate Tori is the Alpha of the Veilleux Clan. Now Keith is discovering that he must move on their land in the mission. WOW, I can’t imagine the pain he must feel. I love that Tori is so understanding.
Of course there is a cliffhanger at the end of the book. Trouble and danger is in the horizon and the clans must form together. Trust me when I say you do not want to miss this book.

Tristan tells his daughters Annie is mommy now, and makes plans to come clean with Annie about his original plans when he came their. Will their love be enough to stand the truth? Will she be able to love him and forgive him? Lucy is going crazy with spending time with her two true mates twin polar bears Sven and Serge. But who is her destiny, she must make the decision of which mate she wants forever. Lucy tries to help her twin Luke get over Isabelle's death. Luke talks Lucy's twin mate problem over with her and helps her face the truth about who would fit with her.Making her choice they waste no time in completing the true mate bond. He decides to leave to find himself. Isabelle didn't die but was rescued by her true mate ,Jean Luc, Ouellette Alpha (they haven't told anyone she is alive yet) her near death has given her magic powers that Talullah the Ouellette medicine woman is training her to use it. Tori and Keith deal with her being the Veilleux Alpha and has her true mate and soon husband he is her Prime (of the clan he always though of as the enemy). They have to plan the move from his wonderland home to the Veilleux clan lands as she is responsible for the clan .After an attack Isabelle knows she must go to her brother to warn him of the Human Hunters out to kill them. Review for TEMPTED BY THE BEAR PT 8
I received this as a gift for an honest review.
After the twists and turns in Tempted part 7, I was eagerly waiting to see what would happen next and was I surprised! Tristan finally told Annie what his true motives where for moving to Maine, and it put a bit of a wedge between him and Annie that may never be fully removed, true mate or not.
Lucy finally made her decision between Sven and Serge.
Tori and Keith finally come to terms about her position as Alpha of the Veilleux clan.
Isabelle returns and reveals her new found powers.
They discover there is something very dangerous lurking in the shadows for all bear shifters.
All hell is about to break loose in the werebear community. With the danger looming, it will take the strength , trust and determination of all three clans uniting together if they are to survive.
The twists and turns keep coming, and the romance sizzles. I eagerly await the next book in this fantastic series I can't wait to read what V. Vaughn has in store for the next part of this serial. Stay tuned.

There are many developments in this part as we get closer to the end of the story. The truth hurts when Annie finally learns of Tristan's original plans to kill them and take over. I was impressed that he finally confessed without knowing what Annie and the rest of the family might do with the information. It was a painful time for her to realize that the man she has loved and is tied to for life would have slaughtered her family to gain their wealth when they made an offer in kindness to them. Isabelle is continuing to change so much with her mate. She is realizing that she plays an important role in all their futures.It will be interesting to see how the others react to all those changes. Lucy makes her decision about her mate too.Tori and Keith are on the verge of making some major changes in their life.
There is some real threats out there and it will be interesting to see who is behind some of the issues and how they choose to handle them. I look forward to the next part.

Annie enjoys watching her husband become a caring father. The little girls are going to have the life Tristan and Isobel should have had. But Annie gets some bad news. Is she never to be allowed happiness? Lucy makes her choice, who will she choose? And Isobel reveals she is alive, but at what cost to those she left? So much happening. How can all the loose ends be tied up in only one more part? What ever happens I can't wait for the answers. And last but not least, a terrible happening ends this part. Will all come together to save those in danger?
Another page turner and recommend. I was provided an ARC for an honest review. However, I intend to buy the full series book in December when it it available. A keeper.
Update 12/21/15: I listened to the audio of this part and it was even more exciting as a bedtime story. I really recommend the audio as an excellent exciting forum.
Another page turner and recommend. I was provided an ARC for an honest review. However, I intend to buy the full series book in December when it it available. A keeper.
Update 12/21/15: I listened to the audio of this part and it was even more exciting as a bedtime story. I really recommend the audio as an excellent exciting forum.

Received this book as a arc for my honest opinion.
Holy cow it got better. Tristan comes clean with his secret. And it has the ability to destroy his family. Isabelle is alive and is full of magic. Found her true mate. Choices have to be made. Will they stand together as one or fall apart. Human hunters are out for blood. This book has it all love,death,lies,pain,hope,laughter,family and friends. You think you know what will happen next but your wrong. This series keeps you on the edge of your seat. I cannot wait for the final part. What will happen will the world they all know changes. Omg I can't wait. As for this book it's a must have. I have read and re-read this series at least 50 times, it's so good. A great Christmas gift for all your shifter lovers in your life.

Part 8 of this were bear soap opera!
Tristan is going over board to be nice that should have been Annie first warning sign that he did something wrong! Tristan has decided to come clean with Annie and wow does he tell her every thing. When the truth comes out she is crushed!
Isabelle is so happy now that she has found her true mate but has their bound grows an attempt on Isabelle life is made and they know they have to warn Tristan that human hunters know about him too.
Man what a cliffhanger! Wow
I so LOVED this series there is so much going on there is no way you could be bored! So much action so much storyline it's truly amazing.

So much happens in this part I don't know where to start.
Annie- Finds out the real reason her came will she be able to trust him again? Will they be able to work past this issue?
Isabelle- Will she let her brother know she is alive? Will she learn to use her magic?
Tori- Will they finally decide where they will live? Will she tell her family whats going on?
Lucy- Who will she choose?? Will she make the right choice? Dose she help her brother?

V. Vaughn sure knows how to tell a story! This series keeps getting better and better. Annie learns the truth of why Tristan came to Maine, Lucy makes a tough decision and Isabelle returns, how these revelations/decisions affect everyone is just starting to be seen. The tension and suspense is at an all time high. This is such a great series, I do think it best if read in order so you can enjoy all the nuances and subtlety of the series. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Tristan came clean to Annie about why they came there. needless to say she was hurt and angry. Not sure what she was going to do. Lucy is dating Sven and Serge so she can decide which one is her true mate. Tori and Keith finally come to terms with her being the Veilleux and needing to move into the mansion. Isabelle shows up with Jean Luc and shocks everyone. They were still thinking she was dead. Danger lurks for the clans in the form of human hunters.
I can't believe there is only one book left. it is ending much to soon. The final showdown is coming.

Tristan confesses his secrets to Annie driving a wedge between them, Serge and Sven finally hear Lucy’s choice, Tori and Keith have logistics disagreements with the new Veilleux Alpha situation, and Isabelle returns for the dead (so to speak) with grave news affecting the entire northeast kingdom. The clans will have to work together to eliminate this treat but will they be able or will they be destroyed from within? Either way you’re going to be left screaming for part 9, I know I am!

I don't know what to say except I want part 9 right now!! This part of the story starts off right as part 7 ended and Annie finds out why Tristan and his clan came to Maine and she of course is devastated. Lucy finally makes her decision and not everyone is going to be happy about it. Isabella lets everyone know what is going on with her and the upcoming danger to the clans. Tori and Keith make decisions on their new life changes. This book ends on another awesome cliffhanger and I can't wait to get my hands on it...

I got this in exchange for an honest review, I am such a huge fan of this author and this series I have read all the ones before this and I must say everything is just perfect and gets better as I continue to read each one the action the suspense the love the sparks and the characters get more captivating and interesting as we read I am addicted to these hot amazing characters I recommend this to everyone you will love it this author is great the story line the plot and flow of events were perfect and hope t read the next one

what a read this one was! hearts are broken, hearts are mended, big surprises come to be. the major plot is revealed, well what used to be the major plot but it isn't anymore. they're all pretty sure something else, something bigger is about to happen and they're doing there best to be prepared!
one more! aaargh the suspense is starting to kill me! i'm only glad to know the last and final installment is due in a few weeks, still this year!

I can't wait for the next book in the series!! Wow!!!. Another great installment in the series!!! Tristan comes clean and Annie is devastated, Isabelle finally comes home to the shock of the family, Lucy makes her decision, and danger is getting closer. It has a cliff hanger ending that will leave you gritting your teeth!

Received the book for an honest review. OMG this series just keeps getting better. Tristan reveals to Annie a secret that may tear them apart. Lucy has to make a choice she never thought she'd be faced with. And Isabelle has finally found what she was looking for and has acquired new powers that she may need to use to help her mate and brother. So can't wait for the next book.

This is book 8 in the series Anne / Tristan = Anne finally finds out why Tristan really came to her pack will she be able to trust him again? I just got done reading this and my heart is racing.....crazy how wrapped up you can get into a book and then it's done :( I seriously can't wait for the next....it keeps getting more Intense .....keep up the good work :)

Wow this series just keeps getting better. I want to help write it the way I think it should go because I want everyone to be happy. Never a dull moment in this story and I can't wait for book 9 to come out. A must read
