Drew Downs
Few books cover both the historicity of our liturgy and it's theological foundations with such care and respect for getting the balance right in the here-and-now. Giles piles on the importance of respect and care for how we gather today and what common practices get in the way or have little theological conviction or worst of all, are supported out of convenience, recent tradition, or lack of imagination.

The book is clearly intended for liturgical traditions (eg. Episcopal, Catholic, Lutheran)
Interesting ideas on changing the liturgy -- though I don't agree with all of them, they certainly can spark some lively discussion.
