As everyone else has mentioned, Lann is a Barbarella clone but what makes it notable is Frank Thorne's art work. Thorne is the king of erotic warrior babe comics. This is pretty much the only genre he worked in. His female protagonists and supporting characters look exactly the same in every comic he ever drew but his style is so good that it's not a big deal. Erotic fantasy comic strip from the pages of Heavy Metal - a sort of Barbarella meets Firefly. We have Lann a buxom mercenary who's just got the body of a 25 year old. Barbarella as directed by Russ Meyer. Thorne has a great touch with the pen and his figures are spot-on, always in motion and the ladies pneumatic as the day is long. His compositions have a wonderfully cluttered feel and the pace is perhaps a bit too swift. If I have a problem it's that the book can't seem to make up it's mind whether it's in the future or what.
