Okay, I know this is kind of cheating, but I couldn't resist when I saw these books a Borders. The Mr. Men and Little Miss books are making a comeback - and have tapped into the T-shirt market, too, I've noticed. There's tons of these little books, and I think we read nearly all of them when my kids were little. They are very cute, very quick reads for story time with little ones. I highly recommend them!

These books also make great gifts for little kids, they're just their size, ...more

Yet another tale of a walk in the woods, which leads to an adventure - my children are going to have great expectations of our next walk in some woods.

Plot wise, this is paper thin, and frankly would have got a lower score but for the fact that my daughter was sulking at the time we read this, so when I substituted her name for Mr Miserable's it garnered large laughs. So the story reflected real life for once and turned the "frown upside down".

In which he meets Mr. Miserable.

I guess the most important thing from this and the other Mr. Men and Little Miss books is that even though you may be labeled and known as something, it doesn't have to be your fate. Anyone, even Mr. Miserable can change.

Another great book for kids!

Mr. Happy finds a doorway that leads to Mr. Miserable. Mr. Happy takes him back to Happyland and slowly but surely, Mr. Miserable can't seem to stay miserable.

This is a good book to read for a child who needs to turn that frown upside down!

One and a half stars for this book.
The story has some substance, and is nicely told. It has been a part of my memory for a very long time! The Mr. Men books also spawned a relatively new series that I enjoy watching on Cartoon Network.

I'm reading a whole lot of these Mr Men and Little Miss books with my children who are bilingual. My oldest is about to start nursery school soon. But they love them its the greatest way to teach them adjectives.

I have very fond memories of these books which were first published in England in 1971. The year my sister was born & I turned six. How thrilled I am that they are still popular after all this time!

My family loved the "Mr. Men" and "Little Miss" books. Fortunately, our local library had almost all of them. "Mr. Happy" was one of our favourites.

This is so fun! Mr. Happy is able to make Mr. Miserable smile and even laugh by the end. No way you can read this and not smile yourself!

My kids loved this book. They interacted by doing facial expression to show their emotions.

The Little Man that spawned a popular series of books in the '80's. So-so stories are bumped up by the practically adorable characters (ideal for T-shirt logos) and the pleasantly small size.

I remember LOVING these books as a kid, and now my son loves them, too. There's always a little lesson tucked in the story line, which is nice. There just fun and silly to read.
