Different from the other books I read. Gives mostly biological data on the African Grey and, unlike the other books, insist that this is a wild bird and even in captivity will not make a good pet. This is different from the books I've read that say the African Grey makes a good, affectionate, playful pet. This author says that owners that say that are biased.

He does concede, however, that the African Grey makes a good pet if you don't mind just leaving him alone. I suppose for people who want a
