Dean est ...more

We are not here to talk about cooking, But to get ready for what’s gonna be cooking once we bring this outlaw hideout back to life…

Now this is a Lucky Luke adventure that has a strong resemblance with the 1965 Sid James & Jim Dale movie ‘Carry On Cowboy’. With a fine assortment of hilarious characters and incredibly funny situations ‘Dalton City’ - which was originally published in French in 1969 – sets the stage for a face-off between ‘Lucky Luke’, the coolest cowboy in town and his old e

This is a very underestimated comic in my opinion. It may not be as funny, entertaining, historically and culturally rich, nor as poignant as the Asterix comic strip. It may not have the characters either of Asterix or Tintin, nor the the mystery and intrigue of Tintin.

But it is fun, and the main character is interesting and well done. It is surprising that the rest of the world never caught on...

It has its clever and funny moments, and the idea is good.

Silly fun. I especially enjoyed the William Tell visual and verbal pun. Not quite up to the gold standard for this style of graphic novel (which is Asterix), but an excellent example of the genre nonetheless.

Lucky Luke is sold next to the Asterix books in Germany and seems to be just as popular. "Dalton City" is the only one we still have at SPL. Maybe they never caught on with kids here? (Titles are easily available on Amazon.) The story was very similar to the slapstick humor of the Asterix books. I've had parents express concern at some of the dated material in Asterix and Tintin, but the kids seem to handle it fine. Lucky Luke does keep a cigarette in his mouth the entire book though and I can s ...more

Lucky Luke's arch enemies, the Dalton Brothers, make their debut in this book (at least in the English version). Funniest of the first three English translations of the Lucky Luke books. The Daltons escape prison and take over a ghost town and Luke plays along as an honoured guest cum prisoner while he plans on how to get the Daltons and other desperados back to prison.

Lucky Luke cleans up Fenton city, by going straight for arresting the outlaw Fenton running the town. When he is put in prison, the Dalton brothers hear his tale, and when they escape they set out to run Dalton City in the same place. Lucky Luke gets roped into trying to recapure them. A classic Lucky Luke adventure with clever Jolly Jumper and stupid Rin Tin Can.

i really love Lucky Luke comic magazine, it's been a long time since i read it, if i'm not wrong this series is telling about Lucky Luke with his horse Jolly Jumper VS Dalton Gang. It's Funny and entertaining, the silly face of dalton's familly (^0^) give a funny plus when you read it.

This Series is one of my fave ..
Doing a lot of "deep" reading lately, as you can see. I do enjoy Lucky Luke. Not my favorite of the series, but still good.
Lucky Luke sekali lagi jadi pahlawan yang nangkep buronan.
Kurang lucu aja sih di buku ini.

The Belgian author Morris is best known for his humorous cowboy character, Lucky Luke. Morris started his career in 1945 in Le Moustique, creating various covers and illustrations. By the end of the 1940s, Morris met his colleagues Jijé, Franquin and Will. These four artists would be called "The Gang of 4", because they all worked in Jijé's studio at that time. The first episode of Lucky Luke, 'Ar ...more
