On the back of this non-fiction book states that it is mean to be read by kids ages five and up. However I do not think kids who are five will be reading this book. There are large pages fill with many paragraphs, which I do not think five year olds would want to read. I do like the fact that the book has pop up pictures and sounds of the animals as you turn pages. However, with this being said I would have to rate this book three stars out of five. This information non-fiction picture book gives a beautiful layout of many different marine animals using words, sounds, and incredible moving pop-ups.

I would recommend this to all ages. Even with young readers, the popups would be a great visual to add along to the various facts about the animals.

This book could be used in the classroom library as an informational read about marine animals and what their habitats look like.

I would use this book when teaching science. I could use this book for teaching about sound, as well as discussing some ocean life.

Absolutely amazing! A great book to share with kids... or just yourself. I tend to pick it up long after lil man has gone to bed and imagine myself near the coast. Or with penguins.
