This is the final of the series on Chicago, the culmination of Tony Fitzpatrick's interpretations of his hometown. Along with the first two volumes, we see a full vision as Fitzpatrick intended it.

Amazing collection of drawing collages. The book doesn't do the images justice -- much more depth in person. The poems are incorporated into the drawings themselves. My favorite poem --
In Chicago;
My dad was:
Bum,
Lotto tickets,
Beefeater martinis,
and furious loss.
Through the rain
and cigar smoke:
I see:
my dad's shoe shine.
I see:
my dad's sad smile.
