If his former friend Scott hadn’t tattled on him, Josh wouldn’t be on his last chance to turn his life around, living with his brother Andrew, wife Miranda and nephew Digby in a cramped apartment. Beating up Scott for ratting him out landed Josh in a program to train dogs while learning anger management. In spite of venting in a group therapy session and keeping his nose to the grindstone, trouble continues to find Josh as he breaks Miranda’s favorite mug and has multiple run ins both with puppy ...more

The book "Snitch", by Norah McClintock, was an interesting book. I have finished reading this book, and I did not enjoy it that much in my perspective. I enjoy excitement, and things that would make me want to read more. I read another book by this author, and I enjoyed that one more. In this book called Snitch there were a lot of dialogue. Josh had been living in a group home after being ratted out by Scott, his one-time best friend. Josh also struggles to control his temper. Framed for a crime ...more
Josh had anger issues so he had to go to program at the vet and train dogs so that they could be trained and adopted to a lovely family. at first Josh hated it and then once the dogs started to listen to him he loved going to the shelter every day to work with them. I was overall an okay a book for me to get some easy points

I enjoyed the book a good amount. This book is about a kid who has anger issues. He goes to a camp and has to train a vicious dog into a nice friendly dog. He then gets framed for a crime he claims he did not commit. I liked this book because it was a short book but very interesting at the same time.

Just imagine your best friend that you used to hang out with everyday of your life, and he totally back stabs you by snitching on you for something he did and you where with just for the ride and to fit in with the flow.
So there’s this boy named josh that is getting in too much trouble for his parents to keep up with it all. The last thing he did had him sent to his brother’s house to live with his sister in law and his brother Andrew. Andrew, joshes brother gets him in

Snitch is about a guy named Josh. He use to be a bit of a trouble maker, but is trying to turn his life around and make it better. He lives with his brother Andrew, his wife Miranda, and their 9 month old son Digby. He has to choose between two things: dog training or a jail cell. He chooses the dog training where they train naughty/disbehaved dogs to be better so they can get adopted. On his first day there he finds out Scott is there, one of his former best friends. I have read snitch this semester and I enjoyed it but not as much as I enjoyed other books I have read this semester. This book is a good read for the most part because it is about a teenager with anger problems. I think a lot of teenagers can relate to this book because of all the stress some teenagers have and deal with. The main character has a brother he is living with for the mean while. “mostly Andrew was glad I was in the program because it would keep me out of the apartment for a couple ...more

This book is about a boy named Josh, who is kind of a trouble maker. He lives with his brother, Andrew, and his brother's wife, Miranda. Josh has to go to a place where they train dogs to become more well-behaved so they can be adopted. Josh gets stuck training the meanest dog in there, Sully. He gets used to Sully, and things are going good. Until Travis shows up. Travis is a big bully. He ALWAYS gets people in trouble. One night, when somebody gets hurt, Josh is blamed and has to work through ...more

The book Snitch by Norah McClintock tells the story of a guy named Josh tries something new to cope with his anger issues. Overall I think the book was fantastic. I understood everything that was expressed in the book and it is an amazing book to read. I thought the characters in this book were very interesting people. They were like normal people with the same events happening. The problems the characters encountered were when one of the characters, Scott, had been hit and put into the hospital ...more

Recommends it for: some classmates
What i learned from this book was that it really isnt such a good idea to be a snitch. As i think of it now i wouldnt want anyone to snitch on me if i was do something wrong. This book was about mainly these to boys who got into a fight n really didnt like each other anymore. So what they do to get back at one another is they snitch on eachother. They both were in this program together where they had to learn how to make a dog listen and get use to many others. They also had another friend named ...more

So far in the 22 pages I have read , this book seems interesting. It is about a Teenage boy named Josh who struggles with his anger. So his Brother Andrew insisted that he Take an anger management class to help. Instead of sitting in a circle and listening to other people talk about their anger and tantrums,Josh has to teach dogs how to behave. Josh lives with his brother Andrew and Engaged girlfriend Miranda. They live in a small apartment with 1 bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and living room. They ...more

I really liked this book!

The narrator of the story is a boy in an anger management program who is trying to turn his life around. He's given the job of training a dog as part of the program. I found the boy likable and interesting and hated the way he was picked on by those around him. I also liked how real and supportive his family and the workers in the program were. Honestly I'm surprised and pleased to find a hi-lo book with an interesting plot and a well-rounded character.

This book was about a boy who had issues. He had anger management problems. He lives with his brother and his brothers wife. They're parents had died so the boy has no were to go.

I cannot connect to this book. This boy was way too violent.

I gave this book 1 star. This book was HORRIBLE. Like Top Wing I fell asleep. That dude has to calm down. You can't just go around like wanting to kill everybody. By far one of the worst Orca Soundings book ever.

Another fine book by Orca Publishers. Josh lives with his older brother, domineering sister-in-law, and infant nephew. He's participating in a group dog-handling course at the animal shelter, the best option he's given after being turned in by a friend for a crime. But things just never seem to go right for Josh. He gets in trouble with another teen at the dog program, his sister-in-law accuses him of theft, and he is questioned for a violent assault. A true voice for teens.

The book Snitch by Norah McClintock tells the story about Josh who has bad anger issues so has to go to a program to help him control his issues.I thought the book was good because it had good vocabulary and it was intesting because like they say the cops want to see him and you dont know for what untill you keep reading.I would recommend this book to anyone.Overall, I thought the book was amazing and would read another book that is written by this author.
A Book Vacation
was really surprised that this novel dealt with dog training. I really wasn’t ready for that, but I think McClintock uses a great literary device comparing rage and anger in humans to untrained dogs. It was a really interesting look at anger management, and I enjoyed reading it, even though dogs aren’t my specialty...

I liked this book but also didn't like it. I liked it because it had a fight in it and also had some action in it. I only liked it when the part when they fight and there trying to find who fought with him, but for the rest of the story I didn't like it. The reason that I like the part when they fight is because that was the only part that had action. I also liked the part when theres a mystery to who fought with John alexander and there trying to find who fought him.

I thought this book was very slow and not very exciting. There wasn't much excitement until the middle of the book. From the beginning until the middle was just explaining how josh was going to a group to help him get more self control. This group acted as a rehab center. in the middle when things got interesting he found out that Travis beat up Scott, but since the weapon used to beat him up was Josh's the cops thought it was josh. In the end Travis is sent away and josh and Scott are friends.

Written for teens with below average reading skills, Snitch is a great story about a young man who is struggling with school, with family, with friends, and with the law. In place of anger management classes, he is sent to a dog training school where he learns about patience, forgiveness, self control, and when to ask for help.

I think this book was really good because it was about this boy named Josh and he had anger issues. This book shows that usually violence is not the answer and that sometimes snitching is the right thing to do.

this book was super good and I believe that it could've been better if it was longer and had more characters, so that way it wouldn't have been so predictable of who beat up Scott, but other than that it was good.

Just like all the other Orca Soundings books, the ideas where there and the readers interest but what is lacking is the pages. It's too short, even if it were just 50 pages longer it would have been better.
