An important book for parents to read to really get in the world of people who spend more time with their kids than they do.
Also very important for teachers and or future teachers to give some clue as to the pitfalls,as well as the breakthroughs available.

Book has stood the test of time because we are still facing the same problems in education today. Not as in depth on topics related to education, but a great read to start a conversation. Definitely found inspiration to continue on...

This book was given to me by my mentor teacher as a parting gift after my time in her classroom came to an end. I love this book, and have reread parts of the book several times during my first year as a teacher. I highly recommend to new and seasoned teachers who want to review the reasons for why they chose, and love, one of the hardest careers on earth!

I liked this one a lot. Sonia worked with several teachers for a year to find out what teachers going in spite of all the stressors of the job. In addition to the book, I was watching a DVD of a conference she gave with some teachers where they discussed these issues, so it was really interesting overall.
