While writing this review, I kept asking myself, how does Pamela Clare do it? How does she write book after amazing book, each one getting better than the one before? When I was sure she couldn’t possibly top Extreme Exposure, I read Hard Evidence and was blown away. Then, when I’m certain there’s no way she can beat Hard Evidence, I read Unlawful Contact and found myself literally sitting on the edge of my seat, unable to put it down, and staying up until the wee hours of the morning to finish More...

5+++ Stars!!! Again, and again, and again!!

I've read this book in paperback and ebook, many times, and now I listened to it on audio!! Crazy good!

Most of my friends have read this, so let's reminisce about my favorite scene, no real review here, just me having fun.

Remember the part where Marc "re-connects" with Sophie and he says...
"It was like falling dick first into paradise"
and then he picks her up off the floor...still connected mind you...and they crash their way into the bedroom and th More...

5+++ STARS!!!!

Check out my review/fantasy cast on Under the Covers

Dear Julian,
I love you, I love you, I love you. ..But I may love Marc Hunter more.
His piercing green-eyed stare, that killer sense of humor and the fact that he knows how to handle a gun may just trump that sucky-swirly thing you do with your tongue.
I’m sorry. Please don’t kill me.
Love,
Ann

Let me start by saying how much I love Pamela Clare’s work. She brings so much to her stories, from the suspenseful knot I get in my stomach, the kind of plots I can sink my teeth into, the sizzling, toe curling sexiness of her heroes, to the emotional wreck she makes of my heart. And she does this time and time again, and I repeatedly come back for more.

Uggg I don't even know what to say about this book. It was truly amazing just doesn’t do it justice.
I am not sure that anything I say will do. Well except, READ IT! READ ALL OF PAMELA CLARE’S BOOKS!!!
I don’t think that I have ever pulled more for a hero and heroine as much as I did for Marc More...

Smoking! "Unlawful Contact" is Pamela Clare's third contemporary about a group of investigative reporters as they find love and danger while searching for the truth. These stories grab you by the throat and you can't put the darn book down until it's over. Fast-moving and packed with thrills and chills...Clare is now a must-buy for me!

Sophie has never forgotten the 'bad boy' she gifted with her virginity. Over the last twelve years, she's had several opportunities to recall the event with fondne More...

Oh how I love this series!! I only wonder, why after reading the first two books earlier this year, I waited so long to read the third!?!

This book engaged me from the start and I was completely sucked in, invested in the characters and dying to know how it was all going to work out! And I had serious doubts it was going to work out while I was reading. (Yes, I can even suspend my belief in a HEA while reading a romance. I should know it is coming - hope it is coming, but not at all sure how it More...

After reading Unlawful Contact, I can still say that I love this series by Pamela Clare. I had doubts that I would enjoy this one as well as the first two since the premise is that of a convicted killer breaking out of prison and taking the heroine hostage. At the outset, that didn't sound like my kind of hero, even if he was trying to save his sister, but the author did a great job of creating a caring, anguished character out of him.

In this book, journalist Sophie Alton is trying to find a yo More...

The first book I read by Pamela Clare was a historical, which I absolutely loved. Sometimes, I find, that if you're a really good historical writer, then you can't really be a good contemporary writer as well. Obviously I have been sadly deluded!! Becuase Pamela Clare seriously nailed this Romantic Suspense, right on the head!! I've said it once before, but this books deems it be repeated: I don't know why I waited so long to read a book by Pamela Clare! This is my second book I've read by this More...

1.5/5; 2 stars; C

What a disappointing book. After reading the first two, strong and entertaining books in the series I was taken aback by how bad this one is.
Before getting to the review I have to say one really positive thing about this author and her research for the I-team books. On her website she has a riveting account of her 'incarceration' as a felon which she undertook as part of her research and to learn more about the issues in the Colorado prison system. She has a particular interest More...

The way this one started, I didn't think I was going to like it. Convicted felons, bad cops, and poor judgment had This Reader wrinkling her nose. This is book #3 in the I-Team series and because the characters and their families all come together here, you should read them in order--lots of updates from previous characters....

I thought there was too much filler throughout the book. By filler, I'm referring to useless information, recapping scenes as characters worked out "what if" scenarios in More...

What a fantastic romantic suspense! I enjoyed this book so much, I didn't want it to end, yet I desperately wanted to see how it played out! I was not disappointed in the least about anything in this story. It had a smart, beautiful heroine; a sexy, courageous, selfless hero; a taut, exciting plot, and wonderful characterizations throughout. Add a sexy, beautiful love story, a couple of big surprises leading up to an explosive ending, and a touching epilogue, and what more could you want? This i More...

I could not sit down to write a review for a few hours. I was stunned at the complex story that took place here. OMG they are getting better and better if that is possible. What can I say about the I Team?? Love them and Tom (even though he is an ass sometimes). After Extreme Exposure and Hard Evidence I had to move right along. I finished this amazing authors work in a day. OK I read fast and have a lot of time, but darn this was great and I was blown away again.

Definitely the best of the I-Team series so far. I really don't know why I put off reading it for so long, despite all the assurances from my friends that I would love it. Go figure.

Shy, bookish, orphaned Sophie Alton lost her virginity to her high school secret crush one starry night at a school party(?) the first time he deigned to speak to her. The next day he was off to military school. They lost touch until twelve years later. By this time, Sophie is an investigative journalist who's cover More...

Thank you Jesus for Marc Hunter. Couldn't we all use a Marc Hunter in our life? Goodness gracious and and then throw in some Julian on top of that with a little splash of Reece.
I'm still perturbed with the overuse of exclamation! points! but that's ok. I enjoyed this plot and it was intense from the beginning...it kept my attention- so much so that I read it in a day. (sick kid in the house actually gave me lots of time to read)

BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL AMAZINGLY PERFECT STORY!!!

Where do i start? Well damn, this has got to be my most emotional action - suspense romance novel so far. Sitting here right now at 1am thinking of what to type.. my mind is still in scrambles. The story left my brain foggy. I am one happy reader.

First of all, this is one good getting-back together story. The main characters knew each other waaayyy back and rekindled the flame. That rarely happens and in fiction, rarely works for me.. and yet.. t More...

I often find it very hard to accurately express my thoughts & feelings about a book in a review. However, when an author such as Pamela Clare comes along with amazing books such as this one, I can't help but write something. There aren't enough adjectives to describe how I feel about this book or even this series, but if I were to use one word, it would be PERFECTION.

Enough said!

4.4 stars rounded up as I'm still waiting for the afterglow of finishing this book to fade away...

This book was really great, and till about 60% in it was about to be my favourite of the series (still on #3 though, LOL)

THE STORY :

Marc Hunter aka "Hunt" is TROUBLE. He's the badass, "cutest" senior who gets blamed for everything because his mother is in prison. Which was really unfair. The 18 yr old Hunt that we saw was an unmistakably sweet, caring protector of the innocent (our h of course!) a

OMG. This book should be provided with a warning "dangerously addictive - do not start before you know you can read it all straight".
I started it late last night with the objective to just see who the hero/heroine are, under 1 to 2 chapters. I read 5 of those, before being reasonable and putting it away to sleep. And the following morning, my wake-up chapter turned into 2 almost without my knowledge and put me late.

There might be some minor spoilers below (minor, ie. regarding "secrets" disclose More...

Another great addition to Pamela Clare's I-Team series. Whew... she knows how to create drool worthy heros. I couldn't see how this was going to end well. The H, Hunt ( Marc Hunter), was 6 years into his life sentence for murdering a cop. I did have a good idea as to the truth behind his murder conviction, but couldn't imagine how it would all play out. I loved Darcangelo from the second book, Hard Evidence and we did get to see some of him in this book. But I am torn now on who my favorite is More...

What a STORY!!! The beginning of the book is sweet and touches your heart, starts off with sophomore nerdish Sophie and senior bad boy Hunt as teenagers. I am not going to go into much of the story because I don't want to possibly spoil it for anyone. I have to admit I had mixed feelings about him taking a hostage and some of the actions Hunt made, I ALMOST stopped reading it, but was too drawn into the story to put it down. Thank God I kept reading, as the story unfolds you are brought into Hun More...

This was another flawless masterpiece from the fabulous Pamela Clare.

5++ Stars Romantic Suspense - my favorite in the series so far

I don’t know how she does it but Ms. Clare rocks my world every time with her delectable characters and engrossing storyline. I’ve never experienced a dull moment nor encountered a scene which I had wished would have gone differently since I started on the I-Team series. Its a testament to Ms. Clare’s creativity and talent that each of these stories have wormed their way into my heart, never to be forgotten, to be revisited sometime More...
