Interesting book, though I'm glad I only borrowed it as it doesn't have terribly much in it that I could make to wear. But then I don't do well with most hats. Many of them would make excellent pieces for costumes though, you can see that she put a lot of work into the designs. And the little blurbs about each country were interesting as well.
Not a bad book - usually I use it as a jumping off place for my own ideas. Some of the patterns are REALLY weird. Just simply weird.
Fun hat patterns and a great reference for different hat shapes to base your own pattern off of.
Lots of errata and corrections need to be downloaded from Interweave. But great designs!
Okay, not going to buy this one for my library. There are three patterns which I think I will copy for my files: raffia pillbox, cable braid, cossack.
Interesting patterns but mostly nothing I nor people I know would wear. Would be fun to make most of the patterns just for the experience but still not enough to purchase the book.

this book has a lot of awesome patterns, some i'd never wear in public, but most i would. it's neat to see what traditions and countries the hats come from. i haven't made anything from this book yet, but i fully intend to.
Wonderful, playful designs, meant more to be built upon than to be duplicated.
Love it
