After Midnight picks up five months after After Dark. Andrew and Devon are now trying to come to terms with the aftermath and their new identities.
This story is told with a clever emphasis on their love while at the same time pretty sick things are being done in the name of that love. Second in the "After" series - and just as creepy, if not more, as the first one. This was basically a gay urban fantasy but it was more creepy and gory than your usual stuff, I don't even know why. Maybe because it was the main characters that were on the verge of falling for dark magic and did things like gutting a man alive or carrying a beating heart in a pocket? 3.5 stars. Good paranormal m/m romance continuing the story of the mage and the werewolf started in After Dark. Please note that this ends with a mild cliffhanger and the next book is still in draft form. Also, Luisa is working on revised and expanded versions of this and the first book.
