A very accessible read for parents or teachers working with young children. I was seeking a resource with a year-by-year breakdown of childhood development. This book provided a nice refresher on basic brain research as related to education and children's development in various areas such as language and reading, physical and motor, social and emotional, and cognitive development for each age up to eight.
