I've completed the 4th book in Erin Hunter's "Warrior: The New Prophecy" series, "Starlight". My regular readers will remember that I'm working my way through this young adult series that depicts the lives of an entire culture of cats living in the wild. This is the second set of six books about these cats and I am happy to report this book returns to the roots of what makes these books great.

I really enjoyed the first 6 "Warriors" books and felt the series stood complete at the end of that firs

This book wasn't one of my favorites in the Warriors series, I don't like the way Brambleclaw is acting right now. He keeps worrying about Tigerstar and all that stuff.... It's getting a little bit annoying when the Tigerstar thing keeps being brought up. But, it was still a good book, just compared to the others it was a little slow.

Basic synopsis: Now that the clans have found their new home, tensions again rise as territory is sorted out, death of a leader brings rise to uncertainty in all clans, and they must find a way to contact Starclan before it's too late. A new prophecy arises: Before there is peace, blood will spill blood and the lake will run red.

More character development! PLEASE! Leafpaw and Brambleclaw are the cats this book follows and Leafpaw...falls in love. Well...sort of. There isn't much development betw

This is probably one of the better books in the second arc of this series, as much for the story itself as for the promise it leaves for the rest of the arc. Now that we have some cats with a lot of really interesting history with eachother, the authors are able to do a better job with creating interpersonal (intercatural?) tension that's believable and intriguing. Added to that, we have a new setting, which we are exploring with the characters. Everything is new, but still has a weight behind ...more

Me encantó.

The cat's have found their new home! Everything will be back to normal... or so they think. There are still obstacles to overcome. For example, they need to find their new camps, their new boundaries, to find a gathering place, and most of all, find a new moonstone. Although, something harder than any of those things come within every cat. Will the cats ever get used to being in separate Clans again? Will they find where they truly belong in their own Clans? Will they find where their true ...more

Erin Hunter's Warriors the New Prophecy: Starlight is part 4 of a great series revolving around three main characters. Brambleclaw, the dark tabby who is haunted by his father's evil motives of the past, is having many arguments with Squirrelflight, a ginger she-cat whom he cares about deeply, about his half-brother's loyalty towards his Clan. Squirrelflight's sister, Leafpaw, a light brown tabby she-cat, is a medicine cat and is beginning to wonder if she made the right decision by becoming one ...more

This is the 4th book in the second series about the 4 Clans of Cats; Warriors the New Prophecy. It was an okay book but moved really slow, without much of significance happening.

This book is definitely a transition book, leading to a main event and not an adventure story itself. The book basically details how the cats deal with setting up the territories in their new home. All of the medicine cats are having dreams about the lake filling with blood. There is a lot of political maneuvering betwee

The New Prophecy Warriors: Starlight Author: Erin Hunter Genre: Action and adventure
The main characters in the story would be Brambleclaw, Leafpaw, Squirrelfight, Crowfeather and Tawnypelt. Four of the six cats are back home with their clans. Stormfur stayed in the tribe because of his love for the she-cat Brook and Feathertail died when trying to save Crowpaw from Sharptooth. The cats warned the clans and all worked together to find a new home. They travelled wide and far. They finally make it

I am still reading and I will add more when I am further. So far they left the forest because twolegs (humans) where destroying the forest. They destroyed it to build a new thunderpath (road). Then the clans had to prepare to leave because all the prey was leaving or dieting and rabbits where being poisoned and cats kept dieing. Then they where on their way to highstones but stoped by ravenpaws for the night. The next morning they slept too late and by knight fall close to mother mouth they ...more

This is the fourth book in the Warriors: The New Prophecy series. It appears to be one of several series about wild cats. With more than 300 pages, this is a great book for older children to start expanding their reading comprehension abilities and challenging themselves with longer books.

I love books that get our girls excited to read and this series did that for our youngest. She is in love with this series! I like to read whatever they are reading, so we can chat about the stories and discus

The wild cat Clans have finally arrived in their “new” homes, and must now struggle to establish territories, rebuild old boundaries, and learn the hidden dangers of the unfamiliar world. Most importantly they have to find a replacement for Moonstone, the place they used to go to deeply communicate with StarClan. While the medicine cats look for a new Moonstone the warriors need to keep a look out for more then one cat that's harboring evil plans that could lead to violence and darkness. The ...more

Only two books to go in the New Prophecy set, and I'm already bummed about eventually coming to the end! I'm so attached to these cats, I really hope that all of them make an appearance in the Power of Three set as well.

It's tough to talk about why I loved this book so much without getting into spoilers, so I'll just gloss over the details. The Clans work at establishing their new territories, and the politics really start to explode as old rivalries return. All of the cats struggle with this a
