A Sherlock Holmes mystery that I liked more at the beginning than the end. Not that the plot wasn't o.k., it was, but the author's characterizations of Holmes and Watson were more off the mark the further along you went, such as Holmes displaying far too much emotion in several instances and Watson outright lying (and admitting same) at least half a dozen times. Wayne Worcester is an American journalist and author. He grew up in New Hampshire and was graduated from the University of New Hampshire and Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. After working as a reporter and magazine writer, in 1981 he became a journalism professor at the University of Connecticut.
