In the third installment of the Myron Bolitar series, Myron is invited back to the professional basketball court. At the same time he has to find a missing player; a missing player who happens to be his old nemesis from college.
Harlan Coben never fails to disappoint me. I adore his humor. All the smart quips and sarcasm making the reading experience especially fun.

I really enjoyed this book because of all the history Mr. Coben gives you of the characters. I've read the first two books in the series and was excited about this book. It gives you some history about Myron's college years and how his basketball career injury happened. Jessica kinda takes a backseat in this one. I enjoyed again the dialogue between Win and Myron. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. The mystery in this one isn't as good as the previous two. I felt like it wandered ...more

I enjoy Myron Bolitar stories as much as I enjoy Stephanie Plum stories (of Janet Evanovich fame). They are light, fast, and action packed. And sometimes, it's good to get that in a literary diet.
The narrator, Jonathan Marosz, was a distraction toward the beginning of the story. His annoying habit of starting a line a little louder, a little sharper, and then fading into the rest of the sentence almost got me to put this one down. But I stuck it out and the problem went away on its own.

One of my new favorite authors!! This book was fantastic! There are many twists and I love it! I find myself trying to predict books and usually can but this one kept me on my toes and I ended up being quite surprised very often while reading. The only downfall is that there is some heavy language so be forewarned, otherwise a great book and would highly recommend. Thanks Sam and Amy for the recommendation! Can't wait to read more of Coben's books!

This is Coben's Edgar Award winning novel and it is fantastic. It is the 3rd Myron Bolitar story and this one is quite different then the first 2. Bolitar gets a chance to relive his glory days and suit up for an NBA team...but only so he can find their missing star and his formal rival. There are many twists and turns...and once again you will be surprised at every corner.
Warning....there are parts with strong language.

recommends it for:
eh... those in waiting rooms
Its not bad... It's not good either.
The characters are actually somewhat compelling, but the plot is predictable (except for the radical anarchists) and flat.
Fortunately, it's a quick read. I guess a plot revolving around a missing basketball player isn't my thing.

This is one of the Myron Bolitar series of books. These books are very entertaining with mystery intertwined. Set mostly in NYC, but also references to Philadelphia Main Line.
