There is a website I used to frequent which looked at the ships and technology of Babylon 5, and related known scientific principles to explain what was seen. There were extensive formulas over how much energy an Omega class beam weapon produced based on how fast it cut through hull plating on the screen captures – and inevitably someone would come up with different formulas and interpretations. It was only so much mental masturbation, but that’s what geeks do.
