I love this little book full of art and the story of the artists who created them. Impressionism made an impression on the Americans and it moved them into a whole new way of looking at things. This little guide will be on my shelf to read over and over, especially to look at the work of these great artists.
This is such a great little book - a wonderful collection of American Impressionist paintings (along with a few French Impressionists) in a conveniently small package. The text is brief but surprisingly informative. These paintings definitely weren't meant to be viewed on such a small scale, however.
