This spy novel was written in 1965 by a Soviet writer. On the cover it is billed as a “Russian James Bond.” Unfortunately, this is not the case. Instead of being a fast paced thriller it is a low-key bureaucratic novel. The one aspect that is interesting is that it is a perfect flip of a standard American spy novel.
