He's a Harley-riding ex-thief...she's a gun-toting ex-socialite. Together they'll take the ride of a lifetime in this erotic romance from "an undoubted master."*

Mac Canfield was the last man Lily West expected to see again, never mind aim her gun at. But there he was, the bad boy who'd broken her heart years ago - still a thief, hijacking a priceless artifact - and it was...more

RIDING WILD is the perfect fantasy escapism read. A bit like candy because you know it's bad for you yet it's oh so good. So strap on your leathers, hop on the back of Mac's Harley and hit the open road. It's sure to be quite the adventure as you dodge bullets and try to stay one step ahead of both your sexy kidnapper and the bad guys who aren't far behind. You'll be staying in tents, cheap motels and attending bike r...more

4 ½ stars – Romantic Suspense/Erotica

Jaci Burton's Wild Riders is a fun and sexy erotica series with a great mix of action, humor, suspense, and scorching hot romance. The Wild Riders are a super secret undercover government agency made up of ex-thieves turned good guys/gals, who ride bikes and drive muscle cars. Riding Wild is the first book in the series and features sexy Wild Rider Mac and feisty PI Lily. Riding Wild is a fun and sexy read. 4 ½...almost 5 stars!

Wow! This is a fast and extremely sexy read! The chemistry between these two had the pages smoking as I was reading. In Dallas, as a teen Lily was a wealthy girl who fell for the town bad boy. He rode a motorcycle, ditched school, gets into trouble with the cops, etc. They fell in love, but neither acknowledged it at the time. Lily's father is of course extremely against their relationship. After all, Mac is just trash. At Lilly's urging, Mac (don't you just love that name)takes her virginity. I...more

Riding Wild was not at all what I expected, as I found out about 30-something pages in. I was expecting a romantic suspense novel, probably fun, possibly hot, featuring a bad-boy biker. Well, I did get that - absolutely without question - but I also got a lot more than I bargained for. This was not just a hot mainstream novel, but definitely crosses the line into romantica/erotica.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. It just caught me completely by surprise. I guess I should have...more
Riding Wild was a good erotic romance that included suspense and action. The book was fast paced and quick to read. The hero and heroine were both likeable characters, and the government group that the hero was affiliated with had several other appealing male members whose stories are sure to be interesting.

When private investigator Lily West is hired to test the security of a museum, she is stunned to see her former high school boyfriend ride up on a motorcycle, break in to the museum, and ste...more
That was ridiculous. The premise here is that Lily is an ex-cop/private eye who is checking out security on a museum. Then a guy she went to high school with in a different state (and lost her virginity to) rolls up on a motorcycle and runs in and steals an "artifact." This is all the item is ever referred to as. Inside the "artifact" is a vial of a virus. They proceed to race all over the country having sex constantly while she pretends she's just working the case. We learn that he's in a super...more
You've got a heroine who's an ex-cop and a PI. While staking out a museum, checking out the museum's night security on a job, she fantasizes about Mac, a guy she had a fling with as a teen ten years before, and never got over. Interrupting her fantasy is a man who looks a lot like Mac riding in and perpetrating a theft. She has her hand on her cell phone, but because he reminds of her Mac, she fails to call the police. When he emerges with the stolen goods, she points her gun at him, demanding t...more
Enjoyed this erotic, romantic suspense with a Harley Davidson theme. Toss in rekindled love gone wrong, two young lovers, Lily West and Mac Canfield, running into each other 10 years later, a thief, virus and save the world theme and I've summed up this story. The setting begins in Chicago, but quickly became very mobile--on a Harley.

Mac was the town bad boy and Lily's dad had plans for her to attend Harvard Law School. But the sparks drew them together and Lily's potential future drew them apa...more

Lily West is a former cop from Dallas now living in Chicago working as a P.I. She’s been hired by the local Museum Director to test their night security by breaking in. Just as she is about to do that and prove to her client how bad their security really is, the love of her life rides up on his Harley, breaks in, steals a priceless Egyptian artifact, and is about to ride off into the sunset when Lily pulls her gun on him.

And so the story goes.

This was the first Wild Riders in the ser...more

Typical Jaci Burton book -- lots of erotica with a bit of a storyline thrown in. She does write nice male characters and this one rides a Harley so one can't complain :) If you are fan of Jaci's work, you'll enjoy this. FYI: this is NOT a book about a Motorcycle Club. If you are looking for something along the lines of Motorcycle Man, Undeniable, Reaper's Property, etc. look elsewhere.

This book was more like 3.5 stars but I rounded up to 4.

The sex and dirty talk was awesome and you could really feel the heat...hoooweee.

But the whole secret agent, stolen virus plot was a little weak. I did however like the intro to the Wild Riders group. It was a good setup for the uber sexy guys who will probably be in the next books.

Wooowee this one started out fast, hot, spicy and just keep getter more intense and fabulous with each page. This is a story of lost love found again and the journey they take as they find each other again.
Lily and Mac meet up while he was hijacking a priceless piece of art and Lily was investigating the security system of the museum. The problem is he is not the only one who wants the "art" and Mac and Lily are on the run to keep the "art" safe. He is on the run and he kidnaps her. I really ge...more
I would love to start the next book RIGHT NOW. Burton can sure as hell write a hot love scene. Holy cow. And there's lots of them - perfect for me! (I hate the books that build up to one scene and that's it.) The man is quite the man's man...great hero. Heroine? Spunky and feisty and loving sex - excellent! There isn't much bad I can say about this extremely fun read. I love that they are all sort of connected by the Wild Riders group because you get to see glimpses of the characters already. Ex...more
I always enjoy books about second chance love. This along with sexy bikers was great combo. Mac the thief was not what I expected at all. I was thinking he was have a chip on his shoulder or something, but he didn't. Mac was so sweet and sexy as hell. Even kidnapping Lilly he was all smooth and calm and caring. It did take forever to figure out who had shot at Mac and Lilly and I was kinda disappointed because there wasn't a whole lot a action other than the sexin kind going on. Overall this was...more

Riding Wild was a fun ride. I expected to get a sexy read, but it turned out to be coupled with a nice and light suspense plot. It was also a second chance story, which I'm not a huge fan of. Separations in a romance make me feel sad about all the wasted time, and a second chance story is more often than not caused by some form of miscommunication between the H/h. It didn't bother me so much in this story, maybe because they didn't dwell too much on it; when they looked back at the past, it...more

Riding Wild is the first book in a series. It was a good read but that's it. No suspense or big mystery of who was the bad guys or who you could trust. So I was a little disappointed but I will give the 2nd book in the series a try to see if it gets better.
This is the first book in the series and is a story of reacquainted lovers, which is one of my favorite themes.

Lily West, a smart, savvy Dallas policewoman turned Chicago private eye is on her latest assignment to test security measures at a museum where a priceless exhibit is on display. Lily is outside watching the museum and planning to break in to demonstrate how lax the building’s security is. As she watches the building in the dark Lily becomes lost in a fantasy concerning her first lover,...more

There are loads of detailed reviews of this book, so I am just going to give my thoughts after reading Riding Wild, which is the 1st book in Jack Burton’s Wild Riders Series.

I struggled a bit to finish this book the first time I started reading it and after a few months decided to continue on to Chapter 2….I did read chapter 1 before…..and determined to read it to the end this time…which I did.
It’s definitely action packed, fast paced and with a lot and I mean a lot of sex and more sex between t...more

3/5 Stars

Riding Wild is the first book of Wild Riders series by Jaci Burton. While the series and book alone is action packed with hot bikers and hot scenes, it has way too much eroticism, that I was unable to deeply be in the story and the main characters. I wished the sex scenes and storytelling was somewhat even out. Nevertheless, it has a good storyline with a whole new Wild Riders world and happy ending. I am really glad that after so many years Mac and...more
I normally can't stand reading a series out-of-order because some plots are hard to follow ,but with Jaci Burton it was so easy to keep up with the sexy men of the Wild Riders. Riding Wild was a good romance that included suspense and action. The book was fast paced and quick to read.

his book has all a girl can dream of: Really hot alpha males on Harleys with a bad boy image to suit this ride.

This book is a good hot contemporary romance with a fast paced plot and a really long Harley ride. The characters are likable but a bit chlichee from time to time. You have the rich girl who wants to escape from Daddies plans and falls in the arms of the local bad boy. Than you have these two yeras or so later. She goit her heart broken in the past and now she eye-witnesses him steeling...more
A good first book in a great series about an undercover government agency that took reckless trouble-making, motorcycle-riding men and turned them into agents, this book features Lily and Mac. After falling in love and giving her virginity to Mac, Lily is shocked when Mac abruptly ends it and leaves without a word. Ten years later, they are thrown back into each other's lives during a museum robbery gone wrong. P.I. Lily can't decide if she trusts that Mac isn't a criminal when they're forced to...more

This was a fast reading, hot erotic secret agent on the Harley type of story, first of a series.

I was on the waiting list for over 5 months with my local library, and FINALLY this book came available for my Kindle.

I can see why there was a wait list. It was a total fantasy escape, with a sexy hero- Mac and likeable heroine - Lily, meeting up after 10 years, when as teens he did a "love 'em and leave 'em".

Lily doesn't know which side of the law Mac is on when he seemingly kidnaps her when she i...more
#1 Wild Riders romantic suspense

Eek! LOL, this book description makes the book sound much better than it actually is.

It's great for "Calgon, Take Me Away" reading. The depth of the book is similar to the depth of a piece of paper. Lots of action, tho!

Lots of things just don't make sense -- Lily spends ONE night with Mac ten years ago, and hasn't seen him since. When she meets up with him again -- actually, he kidnaps her and rides off with her on his Harley -- after a day or two, Lily is trying...more
I see so many books by this author at my ebooks library that I wanted to start at book #1 in one of her series books...but I forgot how much I hated Harley's after living at the bottom of a hill on a popular street in Cow Hollow, where the damn Harley riders would vibrate me (and not in a good way) while I was trying to sleep with my earplugs. I had to stop reading...if any of the books in this series do not have the male protagonist NOT riding a Harley! but instead a Dukati or another quieter m...more

oh my goodness. before this book I wasn't much of a biker chick. sure, I like watching hot men go by in the summer, with their arms showing and muscles. I've riden once in a while, my friends dad has a bike (no idea what kind, but its big) and I like the feeling. But whoa! This book has made me a lover of the bad boys on motorcycles! Damn!
Mac and Lily have a past. ITs obvious from the first chapter its gonna be a hot book when Lily day(night) dreamed while she was supposed to be on a job about t...more
Pretty good book. Mac Canfield is robbing the museum of an artifact and Lily catches him. Lily had a crush on him while growing up and he left her broken hearted. Lily thinks he is still into trouble like when he was young and just a thief, but he is doing a special job for government. He can't tell her the truth, yet. The bad guys are after them and they take off on a wild ride on his Harley to get to his undercover location. And boy oh boy, do things heat up along the way.

Jaci Burton is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling, award-winning author of over 50 books. She lives in Oklahoma and when she isn’t on deadline (which is often), she can usually be found wrestling with her uncooperative garden, wrangling her dogs, watching an unhealthy amount of television, or completely losing track of time reading a great book. She’s a total romantic and longs for the hap...more
