This series gets better and better! Here we have Lieutenant Peregrine Cranford, a man who lost his foot in the war and his fiancée into the bargain as she couldn't abide his peg foot.

When he first meets the Miss Zoe Grainger there's a dreadful misunderstanding, she thinks he is a sawbones and he sees her as a screeching wench. When they are properly introduced later both are displeased to find they must keep each other company for the rest of the day as Perry shows Zoe the sights of London.
