Shelves: gave-up
No real charm or entertainment value to speak of. If you're interested in reading a 226 page self-congratulatory blog post, this might be right up your alley.

I found this book compelling in parts and a little irritating overall. Having just lost my own mother after nursing her at home, I was most engaged by the second part of the book on the author's diary or her mother's dying and death, though I struggle to nderstand why the author and her sisters apparently did so little to ease their mother's pain and discomfort, other than to hum or sing lullabies to her.
