This book has some really great knowledge about gardening practices, with many innovative concepts for succession planting and mutually beneficial plant combos. A must-read for the organic gardener.
To be fair, I didn't finish the book. It wasn't that badly written, but it confirmed all my fears about growing my own food: it's much more difficult, involved, and sensitive than a hobby or side project. One can probably do some small-scale organic gardening, but this text is not for the beginner. I would need help to implement many of these techniques and bits of information--I'm unfamiliar with the terms, tools, and resources involved.
Suffice to say I will continue to read and reference this book as I build and maintain my vegetable garden next year. An awesome, all-inclusive reference.
