On their way home from getting their Christmas tree, the pig family comes upon Grumpy Gramps and notices his home is not at all prepared for the holiday. Young Charlie pig worries if Christmas can come if Grumpy Gramps is not prepared. He soon sets out making a wreath for Grumpy Gramps. Charlie leaves the wreath on the steps and dashes away, but the next day he see the wreath grandly displayed on Grumpy Gramps' door. Charlie next prepares a tree and goodies. This was a heart warming book that tells of a piglet who has a good heart as kids often do. Kids are so full of compassion for people and this book shows that. But I like the fact that this pig is recognized and rewarded.
