Ghost-written biography of an American scientist who helped GHQ get Japanese industry back on its feet, stayed in the country, met lots of influential people, and still had time to enjoy Freemasonry.

Not much else to add. A few interesting glimpses of post-War reconstruction, but also a few reminders of the number of foreigners who managed to make a financial killing at a time when Japanese society was at a nadir and people were dying of malnutrition.
