After the death of his wife, Adam Westmore has withdrawn himself from society and lives a solitary-minded life near the beach, alone with his memories and guilt. Then one day when he walks down the beach he sees this woman throw herself of the cliffs into the icy sea. Without hesitation he dives in the sea to save her and takes her home. Evelyn is running from her depraved fiancé who is forcing her to marry him, so Adam offers to protect her. This stunning beauty with exquisite eyes is stirring ...more

I’ve been on quite the historical kick lately. “Too Dangerous To Desire” by Alexandra Benedict is the follow-up to “Too Great A Temptation” which I enjoyed very much so I was happy to get a chance to hopefully check in with some of the same characters and see how they were getting along. And the male lead for this book promised to be one of those ‘tortured heroes’ we all love to love!

Adam is an interesting Alpha/Beta/Alpha character who can’t qui

Both the hero and the heroine have their problems to deal with, Adam with the tragic death of his wife and Evelyn with her upcoming wedding to a man she fears and despises, the man that killed her sister. Adam saves Evelyn from her suicide attempt and promises her to keep her safe from him. And if that means asking for help to do so, he will. Even if it’s his brother…

I enjoyed it. It was a page turner, and very emotional. And with my luck it was the last book of series. I didn’t realize that unt

I was very disappointed in the simplistic dialogue and lack of detail in TOO DANGEROUS TO DESIRE. The only interesting part of the story is the fact that the hero feels bound to teach his lady self-defense techniques. She is on the run from her wicked brother-in-law who murdered her sister. The larger font size pushes to number of pages to almost 400, but there is a lot of air between the front and back cover.

the guy in this book had a vow to his dead wife. i mean, it was ridiculous. he felt guilty for having feelings for another woman. this book also picks up where too great a temptation left off. that book has the main character's brother. those characters also appear here.

also, the heroine was so weak. she was no spitfire. i like them to have a little backbone.

AWFUL. One of the worst romance novels I have ever read. And I would know.
I think my hint should have been, when the nuclear medicine tech took one look at the cover and said, "My that looks lurid." Lurid indeed.

No plot. Minimal romance. Snuff themes. Just gross.
Don't waste your time. Find another pirate romance.
