As with other books by me, I can hardly be objective, so make what you will of the rating.

That said, I think this is an unusually lucid and accessible book that might even appeal to people without graduate degrees in English. Individual poems in the book address subjects including the arc of a love affair, midlife issues, and the relation of humans and the natural world, especially in the American Midwest.
