The ideas of this book are simple thoughts and suggestions {many of which I already knew} I thought it has some great ideas on how to use symbolism using ordinary items to symbolize something you what to teach or explain. I mainly read this book to help generate ideas, I find I get stuck sometimes with a new way to present the same materials- this book had some good ideas. I enjoyed the chapter "Paint with your Voice"

The more I read, the curiouser I got--a good thing. I approached the topic with zealous "know-it-all" feelings and thoughts. The more I read, the humbler I became--a good thing. I like the mind exercise she offers in the chapter, "You Are Naturally Creative." Her common sense points out little things, such as the aggregate amount of time a congregation is giving when it listens to a speaker. Her call to prepare and prepare with heart and mind together is compelling.
