This is how I think this book came into being:

Larry's friend: I bet you $20 that you couldn't write a book on parenting where you use the phrase 'secret language' in EVERY sentance!

Larry: Bet accepted!

Larry's friend: AND you have to get your ugly mug on the cover of the book!

Not sure what is so secretive about it but I like the try it session. Especially the idea box, which is take a shoe box and write down play ideas on small slips of paper according to the child's interest so the child can always have things to do! It is on page 72.
