The Sweetest Crush
This is the third novel I've read by Mrs. Hubbard. Her stories are AWESOME! She makes you fall in love with her characters from first chapter. I thoroughly enjoyed the way Lucas loved Miranda. He was definitely a very passionate, honest and caring man. Lucas told Miranda straight up not only with his words, but also with his actions how much he cared for her. What more could a girl want?!! And to think she almost threw him away because of her fears and insecurities....more

Ah the other book about a Rock Star. IMO its on a completely different level. I liked Miranda. She was very independent (compared to another Heroine who falls for a Rock Star who is more sheltered because of the small town values she was raised with). Miranda is a go getter and has taken care of herself for the most part and really didn't have that strong family parental connection. But she has these silent issues that affect her and her relationships. That is what makes her unique. She k...more

I loved the hero. The character of Lucas is one of the best heroes in the IR genre, in my opinion. He was solid and steady in his love for the heroine. He has faith in himself, in his love and in the heroine.
I was rooting for Lucas to find someone worthy of his love. Unfortunately, I didn't think that person was Miranda.
I felt like the majority of the book was Miranda's issues, her baggage and her stubborness. I got that she had things to work through but somehow I felt...more

The Good: This is the first Crystal Hubbard book I ever read and it’s one of my favorite romance novels of all time. The writing is not only good but also funny. And the sex scenes are both sweet and fabulous. This book has it all!

So, here's the story: Miranda accepts going to a concert with Bernie, her friend, and almost dies in the process until she's saved by Lucas Fletcher. Miranda's boss, sensing increased circulation for his paper out of her misfortune, strong arms her into accepting Lucas' invitation to meet her (because he you know, saved her life).
So, with friend in tow, Miranda flies to Wales to meet him per publicity agreement. Lucas and Miranda meet, get on like a house on fire, and Miranda enjoys...more

I really like Lucas the male lead in this book but I did not like Miranda her reasons for constantly rejecting Lucas seem really shallow. I understood her being scared but
I just could not connect with her . She came across as really selfish. He had to do everything that she liked to make her happy It was never about the two of them as a couple. I cried for Lucas broken heart not hers. I cheered for him when he finally got what he needed from her.I really liked the words used to tell the s...more

I truly did not enjoy this book, and even resorted to skimming once I got to the middle of the book. The treatment she accepted from her co-workers was not remotely believeable. In addition the heroine came off as incredibly juevenile her first night in the hero's company, and stupid in the last few pages. The only saving grace to the book was the hero who was undaunting attraction and love to the heroine.
I loved the Hero... i mean who didn't? he was sensitive, and genlemanly, and sexy as all get out. The heroine annoyed me from time to time, because she distrusted him so much, and let the newspaper that she worked at for so long mistreat her like the way they did.
he has a big i loved near the end when he was at the concert. *sigh*
Loved Lucas. Miranda...hmm. She's the kind of heroine you want to smack and say "snap out of it, girl!" for about half the book. I can understand her being a bit gun-shy relationship-wise but that went on about fifty pages too long. Otherwise, I liked the story and again, I really appreciate the fact that race is barely mentioned. I've got Mr. Fix-It in the TBR pile!
This was really enjoyable. I absolutely loved Fletcher; i just loved him...
I would have given the book five stars, but Miranda got on my damn nerves for most of the ending.

I am probably one of the few people that didn't like this story. I didn't like the female lead, she was always whiney and complaining.
This was a good read. Characters were interesting. It almost seems like I had to suspend reality a bit to believe this was possible, which kind of played into the story because Miranda was in disbelief that a rock star would actually have a genuine interest in her. I also liked Lucas as a rock star in this story. He was cute and may have given the best proposal I have ever read or heard of =•) I definitely plan to purchase this book (I got it from the library) because it is something I would re...more

Crystal Hubbard is a skilled writer who tells a heartwarming, lively tale filled with passion and humor. This is a great read especially if you've ever had a crush on a rock star.
