This book uses anecdotes from years of research on peer group friendships for elementary and highschool children. It discusses the three basic "types" of children:

Contains some tips for uninhibited kids who have trouble controlling anger and inhibited kids who have trouble controlling fear. Careful parenting can help them change. There are other sections that other people might find more useful at the moment.
I read this when Carter first started school and was recently on a course in which the presenter raved about this book. So I am reading it again.
