Lately I have been eating really healthy foods and trying to get more exercise, which caused me to buy this book. I have never tried a cleanse before but the more I read about good health, the more I stumble onto this idea of purging toxins from the body. I started reading this book last night and I like that Niemerow encourages meditation and relaxation excercises. Also, many of the foods require using a juicer and I don't own one yet. I must admit that I am not a fan of strenuous 'cleanses' or 'detox' diets. I've seen many a friend suffer through one, and I just don't want to put myself through that. Adina Niemerow's book, on the other hand, seems pretty reasonable to me. An excellent guide to different types of fasting and a must read for your spring cleanse!

Regardless of whether the reader is sold on the detox element of this book (sections on colonics get a bit preachy), the recipes Niemerrow includes are wonderful. There isn't a bitter or tasteless juice in the book.
