WOW! Just when you thought you had everything figured out, Janine Maxwell's personal testimony reminds us that life is not ours to figure out. Beyond her own personal journey, Janinie provides insight into real issues that our western media does not cover ... the plight of children in Sub-Saharan Africa. I dare you to get a copy of "It's Not Okay with Me" (I have already given mine to a friend... save a tree right?). It might not be okay with you either!

Incredible book. Janine Maxwell opened my eyes to plight of orphaned children in Africa, and helped me understand that one person can make a difference. I recommend this book for anyone who wants to know how they can "get involved."

One woman's complete change in life vision began with a simple visit to Africa. From a corporate marketing executive to a having a passion for the hungry and AIDS stricken living in trash houses, Janine Maxwell chronicles her amazing transformation. The sadness and quality of life (especially of the children) make this book difficult to read at times, but it is so convicting. This is a problem that we cannot ignore.

Amazing. I am not even sure what to do with my life now. Please don't read without challenging yourself and making excuses.

Good content, about the needs in Africa and what one woman is doing to meet those needs.
