I was my particularly expecting much from this book, as I undertook it as part of a reading challenge, but was pleasantly surprised it was not terrible. Cat Stanton made questionable decisions throughout the story that didn't quite add up (simultaneously repulsed and attracted to a man she thought a criminal who she couldn't stop sleeping with) and was out to prove that a woman could be as successful in business as a man while looking for guidance from a man that kept calling her "Sugar". Amazing story with realistic characters. Cat is a living, breathing woman who faces issues that are as poignant today as they were 30 years ago.
