Fantastic textbook for learning Chinese.
Together with the corresponding exercise book, character book, and teacher's book, plus audio cds and dvd software, the book gives the beginner in Chinese Mandarin a good help to learn a difficult language.
The special mixture of dialogues, grammar, cultural texts, pictures gives a good flow, inspiring and interesting.
There are 4 volumes (1, 2, 3, and 4). It may be difficult to find all the books.
If I were a beginner in Mandarin again I would chose a system
