I wanted to like these books. I'm not an Anne Rice fan and by admitting that I'm spewing blasphemy to most. Just because Anne Rice is writing under a psuedo name doesn't make it any better for me. I will have to agree that this is the most boring erotica I've ever read. Don't get me wrong I'm not looking for smut but something a little more classic and poetic.

The summary of this book is kind of a love story with mind games and spanking. Then there's more mind games and even more spanking ...more

I have finished book one, "The Claiming of Beauty", in 2 days. I just couldn't put it down. I have never read anything like this trillogy, and probably never will again. It's labled as "literary erocita", but is bassically all the most horrible sexual situations you can think of.

I'm about half way through book 2, and at first I thought that Beauty was being used aginst her will, but now I am not so sure. She's more than willing to please, while trying to tell herself ...more

ah, anne rice's beauty series.

i was fourteen when i asked for this series for christmas. my family knew i loved to read and the only description i gave of the books was that they were just another anne rice goth trilogy. luckily, the box set i unwrapped christmas morning was still sealed in shrinkwrap. I think they would have had a heart attack if they knew they had bought their little catholic school girl bookworm a complete box set of graphic S&M erotica. oh! it was the best christmas...more

A S&M spin on the sleeping beauty fairy tale. I'm in.

I was my first experience with S&M erotic book and what an experience...
I kept thinking this is rough and it can't get rougher than this. But them someone would do something stupid and it would get rougher.

And at each book it was: "This is heavy. I wont read the next one." But at the end of each one I just couldn't stop. I really wanted to know what new thing could happen to Beauty. So e kept reading right until the...more

This is the Sleeping Beauty Triolgy.

Very graphic sexual activity and S&M. Hard to read in places.

Some people may consider the material pornographic. However, it is very well written. A fasinating introduction to the subject of total domination and subjugation of the human spirit.

The surprising thing is the characters in the story grow to desire their slavery and degradation.

You will never be able to read the Fairy Tale, Sleeping Beauty, again without images from this trio o...more

These books are pure erotica. A.N. Roquelaure is really Anne Rice. After reading a few of her books I decided to pick these up too. I saw a review once that said that these books could have been combined into one book because it got repetitious of the same sequences happening over and over and I agree.

An adult twist on the sleeping beauty fairytale. I loved this set and found they quickly became my favorite pre-bedtime read. However, if BDSM isn't your thing, this series will disappoint you. But for those like me who enjoy a good kink, I recommend it.

This is a serious sexual book that crosses a line that many wouldn't dare to even think of...but once you read it...you will find a part of you that wants to stay on the other side. This book will seriously spice up your love life (kid #2 hahaha).

Basically some extremely boring erotica. I do like the attempt to graft it to the Sleeping Beauty tale, it's an interesting take. But generally not very interesting, especially not over the course of three - admittedly short - novels.

These books are filled with mind bending views on sex, humiliation, BDSM, and fantasy. A twisted version of sleeping beauty but nevertheless a book to encite passion or if anything curiosity about what the next page might bring.

I love this whole series. It is a surprising pornographic trilogy from Anne Rice. While I am not prone to reading porno, lol, this story was actually intriging and truly shows the sexual power that we all can over someone.

I knew this book was erotica when I started it, but wasn't aware it was primarily of the BDSM variety--not my cup of scalding tea. There is a lot of cruelty in this book; not a turn-on for me. To each her own.

Personal disclaimer: These books are not for the faint of heart. They are a sensuously violent treat for the explorative soul. You'll never think of the story of Sleeping Beauty the same way! Enjoy!

These books are not for the faint of heart, prudish, or squeamish. In short, they are highly romanticized erotica of the BDSM variety. But my goodness, are they ever a fun read!

These are the best erotic books I've ever read. So imaginative and hot. The scenarios are insane and will make you more turned on than you can imagine.
