I was surprised to find a book by Roald Dahl sitting in the science fiction section of the library, and even more surprised and sad that both fables were so short. The first is rather dirty, as a young, ugly man is given a card from the king that allows him to ravish any maiden he desires (one of Dahl's sexual fantasies?). The second is about a princess so beautiful men "...fawned and simpered. They drooled and dribbled. They crawled and toadied..."

Strange little fables...one about a lucky and very ugly man and the other about and very beautiful and unlucky girl.
