Very clear and easy to understand. In the back it has bible study tips, a reading plan, memory verses, and a list of great bible stories. The front lays out clearly how to know God, foundational truths, what to do as a new believer, and how faith affects daily life. Throughout the book there are "cornerstones" which describe the meaning of some of the text in greater detail, and how it is applied in our lives.

After I was turned from darkness to light, this is the first Bible (New Testament) that I read (Spring and Summer of 2007). I voraciously read this New Testament. The text, the New Living Translation, is very easy to read and understand. I think this translation is very helpful, but it ought to be used in conjunction with an "essentially literal" translation, such as the ESV Bible.
