Impossible
When a high-powered gallery owner collides with a wildly offbeat artist, it’s the perfect recipe for disaster. But in her 63rd bestselling novel, Danielle Steel proves that when two hopelessly mismatched people share a love for art, a passion for each other, and a city like Paris, nothing is truly impossible…or is it?

I haven't been a Danielle Steel fan since I was in 8th grade. Picking this up reminded me why. While anticipating a relocation I started trying to read some of the books that have been on my shelves for years. I figured if I read them before the packing started, I wouldn't have to pack as many. I inherited this one somewhere along the way and it has been shelved for, no pun intended, an "impossible" length of time. It took more than one day to read only because it was so painful. Sophomoric and...more
There are some Danielle Steel books that i love: Zoya, Palomino, Granny Dan, Malice. This one was awful. It was boring and lacked any real passion in the characters. It was like she had an idea but had too much else going on in her life or was being pushed to a deadline and just wrote words. She kept repeated herself and it was so irritating! The main character couldn't get over her same issue through the entire book so they just kept breaking up and I actually started thinking he should just le...more
This book was alright, but I think it is better suited to women who are older and have grown children. Much like the other Danielle Steel book I read (Rogue), her main character is a 40-50 year old widow/divorcee with grown children. A lot of the conflict is about how her new romance will affect her children and how it will reflect on her after her previous marriage. These are not things that I can easily relate to, and so the book was not as enjoyable for me as I assume it would be for someone...more

Okay this is kinda funny. I just remember i had read this one book i found in the public library when i was like 11.
Um i think this book is about a woman falling in love and having a secret affair with her son's friend, which is obviously younger than her. So blablabla, stuff happend. Idk, i didnt really care, was too young to like this kind of book. I just happened to desperately wanting to read something from the library. All i can say is Danielle Steel books are too "old" and mature for me.

same old same old... I haven't read a Danielle Steel novel in a while and was reminded quickly why. The plot and characters in "Impossible" felt very familiar ... in this story, strangers are brought together after something terrible has happened in both of their lives... love blossoms... then something terrible happens, again, and they are torn apart.... and then, yep, you guessed it.. they come back together for a happily ever after ending.

Really liked this book... Wasn't sure which way it was going to go - was Sasha going to end up with Liam?? Was Liam going to actually become a man rather than keep acting like the child he was acting like?? Were Sacha's children goint to accept her relationship?
All the questions were answered in the very last few pages!! Steel kept you hooked from page 1!!

marked it as lost-interest-in
I confess I did not get more than about 50 pages into this book, so I am not going to rate it; however, I will explain why I am putting it down and marking it as a 'lost-interest'
This book was recommended to me by a friend. I normally do not read romances so the style was a little slow-going for me. I am putting it down simply because this particular love story goes particularly slow. I could not stay focused or interested in the book at all. Not one of her best books but still if you want a book full of romance that deals with relationships that carry isues and backage then this book will be just what your into. I agree with other reviewers that the story isntas strong as other steel novels and is a bit repeatative.
Once in awhile, I'm in the mood for a good romance. I'm not a huge fan of Danielle Steel's writing, but she usually tells a good story. This story was not so good. The male character is not very likeable. Through the whole book, I kept hoping they WOULDN'T end up together, but typical of Danielle Steel, of course they do in the end.

I finally finished this book. It was good. It took me a while to get into it. Their break-ups started getting old though. Reading a new one now...this new one is taking longer to "get into".

This is only the second Danielle Steel book I have ever read and while it was okay to read, I don't see how she can be such a best selling author. In my opinion, she repeats things too much in her books. They aren't bad, just annoying. This book was also very predictable because the word impossible (the title) was repeated about a million times, however, since "possible" is a different color in the title, you know that regardless of what happens it is going to work out. I just felt like the book...more

| Danielle Steel Bo...: Impossible | 1 | 2 | Nov 20, 2012 08:56pm |
Since 1981, Ms. Steel has been a permanent fixture on the New York Times hardcover and paperback bestseller lists. In 1989, she was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for having at least one of her books on the Times bestseller list for 381 consecutive weeks. But Guinness was premature. The fact is that one or more of Ms. Steel's novels have been on the New York Times bestseller list for...more
