The fourth book sees the introduction of a new character. This is largely a plotty book, rather than character development, this time, though Cassie does struggle with a couple of ethical questions. They don't seem quite convincing to me -- but it makes sense that she does ask questions, so it didn't bother me too much. It was nice to read a book in which the morphing is mostly fun and playful, and in which all of earth seems to join in on the side against the Yeerks. It's a little too touchy-fe...more

Applegate does a good job of progressing the story while maintaining character development. Moral quandaries are weighed at a level that is approachable for kids but not made childish.
Plus they got to turn into Dolphins, which is all kinds of awesome.
AND they discover my favourite character in the series. Which I won't get into here because I don't want to spoil too much.

Re-reading the series up to where I left off, then finishing the series off. I can't believe how short these books are compared to how long they felt when I read them in elementary school!

Cassie and Tobias have strange dreams that must mean something, Visser 3 is still evil, and the Animorphs begin to explore questions of ethics. (Plus, they meet someone really awesome.)

I liked this book and gave it 4 stars because I liked how the middle school kids would morph into different animals and experience how different animals think and live, but it kind of creeped me out how well they were describing how gross and weird it looked whenever they were trying to morph bit by bit.

Pertama kalinya Ax tampil, haha..
Anak2 Animorph udah berharap yg muluk2 padahal, taunya the last Andalite survivor in Earth cuman alien ABG :) (ngebayangin Marco ngomel2)
Tapi Ax kocak banget, dan bakal banyak "guna" nya di masa depan ^^

Ax joins the team. This wasn't one of my favourites, but probably because it was needed in order to introduce Ax into the series.

The Animorphs respond to telepathic distress calls from an alien under the sea. As if their lives aren't already weird enough. . . .
