The author exemplifies this by his use of the chapters and their design. Each chapter shows a different side of Coyote and so it is as if each chapter has its own goal to explain a specific character trait. This is one of the definitive collections of coyote tales. Lopez not only collects great stories and tells them with an engaging voice, he also provides an insightful introduction.
