Years back, when I was entusiastic about history of philosophy in recent centuries, Derek, a British friend of mine recommended this series. I enjoyed them very much, as if reading a novel or so.
The Age of Adventure is some introductions and commentaries about famous philosophers of Renaissance such as Davinci, Sir Thomas More, Makiyavel, Copernic, Galilei etc.
