Short Review: This seems to be a series of sermons (or articles) that have been put together into book form. Brother Yun (an exiled Chinese underground church leader) is particularly speaking to the western church. It is good for us to hear what Christians outside the west have to say to us. This is not light teaching. I spend about three weeks on it. But it is very readable and convicting.

Following Jesus is more than just saying that you "believe" in Him. The journey begins in your heart, and from there it overflows in the way you live your entire life by the power of the Holy Spirit. I bought this book after reading The Heavenly Man and it has not disappointed me. My daughter and I read a chapter together when we were able to, and I would find that I would be thinking about what we had read all the next day. I bought a second copy and sent it to my friend in another city, because it is rare to find such profoundly inspired literature in our day and age. God is surely still speaking to some people and obviously, like in the case of Brother Yun, some people are still listening

I really appreciated this book more than his Heavenly Man. For some reason, putting his experiences within devotional chapters made it much more grounded than his more basic autobiography. Maybe that's my shortcoming...hmmmm.
